Maheshwar Palace (M.P) India










The peaceful, riverside town of #Maheshwar has long held spiritual significance – it’s mentioned in the Mahabharata and Ramayana under its old name, #Mahishmati, and still draws sadhus and yatris(pilgrims) to its ancient ghats and temples on the holy Narmada River. The town enjoyed a golden age in the late 18th century under Holkar queen #Ahilyabai, who built the palace in the towering fort and many other monuments. Away from the ghats and historic buildings, Maheshwar’s colourful streets display brightly painted wooden houses with overhanging balconies.
It’s a mesmerising place that packs a lot of punch in a very small area around the ghats, palace and temples – a sort of refined, spit-shined Varanasi in miniature.

Omkareshwar is approx. 70 km from Indore, on the banks of holy river Narmada. Road from Indore is beautiful as it pass through ghat section. Janapav  also known as  Janapav Kuti  is a mountain and a famous tourist place located on  Indore - Mumbai  highway, near the village of Hasalpur, Madhya Pradesh.  It is 45 kilometers  from Indore. The Only Brahma Temple In The World

Pushkar is often described in the scriptures as  the only Brahma temple in the world , owing to the curse of Savitri, and as the " King of the sacred places of the Hindus ". sacred lake of the Hindus, Pushkar Lake is of the five most sacred pilgrimage #destinations for the Hindus in India. It is believed that when the lotus petals fell from the hands of the Hindu God of Creation, Lord #Brahma , the Pushkar #Lake was created.
